St. Stephen’s Co-operative Credit Union Ltd, now the oldest credit union on the island, has recently celebrated 65 years of service to its members (65 not out) by hosting an awards dinner and ceremony at the 3 W’s Pavilion, Cave Hill.
The credit union was registered on November 14, 1959, with Father Basi Ullyett as its first president.
The occasion was an opportunity for the credit union to honour five special awardees Ingrid Ashby, James Shepherd, Shirley Parris, Charmaine Ward, and Yvonne Jackman. These were presented with their awards by the Guest of Honour Reverend Lisa Jessamy Maynard, Priest in charge of St. Stephens Church.
